What is the SEO Google Rank? The Google Rank is the order of search results shown to users when they search for a keyword or search term on Google (see search result or SERP below). SERP stands for Search Engine Result Page, which is the Google page with the results.
Why is the SEO Google Rank important for service providers like personal trainers? The SEO Google Rank is important for personal trainers because it increases the visibility of the website and thus the likelihood that potential customers will find your website. In addition, a good SEO strategy can help the website be listed higher in the search results, which in turn leads to more traffic. Good SEO rankings also help build more trust with potential customers. The Top 100 Personal Trainers in 10 German Cities via Google Search
As a data analyst and SEO specialist, I asked myself: Who are the top personal trainers found in the 10 largest cities in Germany via Google search?
The data comes from Google via the Python module advertools and is freely available. I used the search text "Personal Trainer [City]" for the search. [City] was then replaced with the following cities.
I searched Google for the following cities:
- Berlin
- Hamburg
- Frankfurt am Main
- Cologne
- Munich
- Dresden
- Stuttgart
- Düsseldorf
- Leipzig
- Essen

Below on the map, you can click on the numbers in each city and see the top 100 personal trainers in the Google search. The search was conducted on 16.03.2023 and may change.
How Do I Use the Tool?
- Click on the map or zoom in on one of the cities where your service is located.
- Click on one of the numbers and a list of all personal trainers who are in the top 100 of the Google search for the city will open. In the center is rank 1, moving outward to rank 100.
- Search for your personal trainer website using the search icon in the left corner. Type in the field and, if successful, your website will appear.
- Click on the field and your Google rank will be shown.

Why are there not 100 personal trainers shown in every city?
In the Google search, some URLs are displayed multiple times; I have removed these and only taken the best placement of the page.
Why can't I find myself?
It is possible that your Google search ranking is not sufficient for the top 100 in your city. However, ranking is also dynamic and can change daily. I would look at this in an analysis.
How do I track my Google ranking?
There are various tools to track Google search ranking, for example via Google Search Console or SEranking. If you are interested in a Google ranking monitoring tool, feel free to contact me.
Why do I need a good ranking in Google?
