SEO, GEO and marketing sparring: a second look at your projects

For agencies, freelancers and in-house teams who want their SEO, GEO or marketing projects reviewed from the outside. I look at strategy, implementation and measurement and tell you what I would do differently and what is working. On a fixed rhythm, for example a call with your project leads every two weeks.

Who the sparring is for

The sparring covers classic SEO, GEO, meaning visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews, and marketing around positioning, content and go-to-market.

  • Agencies that want an external reviewer to check client projects before strategy or reporting goes to the client.
  • SEO freelancers without a team who want a sparring partner for important decisions.
  • In-house teams where the same blind spots keep coming back without an outside view.
  • Project leads who want to bring visibility in AI answers such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews into their projects.

You only have one question about your own website? Then SEO consulting is the better fit.

What comes up again and again in intro calls

I hear these sentences from marketing leads, shop owners and project managers. Each one is a reason for a second look.

  • "SEO has always been my blind spot." Experienced marketing leads know this too. An outside view shows what nobody inside sees any more, because everyone is too close.
  • "We spent money on SEO and don't know what came out of it." In the sparring we check whether effort and result match before you renew or switch.
  • "Agency, developers, freelancers, and nobody has the overview." I check whether the individual measures add up to the goal.
  • "A retainer is not in the budget right now, but we need expert backing." The sparring costs well below an agency retainer. Implementation stays with you.
  • "How do we even measure SEO and GEO?" We set checkpoints before measures are judged, with the smallest possible promises and clear figures.
  • "I still need to align this internally." After each call you get the recording, transcript and summary, which you can pass straight on to management or clients.

What I look at in every project

Strategy

Do target pages, keywords and search intent match the business goal? Is the prioritisation sound, or does the project spend time on topics without demand?

Implementation

Technology, content, internal linking and site structure: what is done, what is stuck, and where is the biggest lever for the coming weeks?

Measurement

Do Search Console and Analytics show whether the measures work? Brand and generic demand kept apart, with checkpoints that also hold up in client reporting.

Marketing sparring: winning clients across several channels

Clients rarely come through a single channel today. They find you on Google, read your answer in ChatGPT, see a post on LinkedIn or Instagram and hear you on a podcast before they get in touch. In marketing sparring we look at how your channels work together and which channel actually brings enquiries from your target group.

I know this from my own practice: I win clients through search and AI answers, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and my podcast "Behind the Scenes in Marketing".

How the sparring works

1

You send the projects

At least three working days before the call: the projects, your questions, goals and past measures, plus read access to Google Search Console and ideally Google Analytics.

2

I get into the projects

I review data, pages and measures and prepare my assessment for each project. In the call we go straight into the review.

3

Call with your project leads

Up to five projects per call: what works, what I would do differently and what comes next. Afterwards you get the video recording with transcript, a summary and the next steps per project.

Projects I have already worked into come back into the call without a new onboarding. You only send what has changed since the last call.

What the sparring costs

1,500 € net per month, 2 calls of 60 minutes, up to 5 projects per call, onboarding of new projects included
  • Start setup, 990 euros net one-off: kickoff call (60 minutes) on goals, projects and way of working, setup of read access and, for Plus, the chat channel, a briefing template for handing over projects and onboarding of up to three starting projects.
  • Sparring, 1,500 euros net per month: two 60-minute calls, up to five projects per call, after each call a video recording with transcript, summary and next steps, questions by email and onboarding of one new project per month. Minimum term three months, then cancellable monthly.
  • Sparring Plus, 2,950 euros net per month: two 90-minute calls, up to five projects per call, two roadmaps per month in your design, onboarding of two new projects per month and a direct line via Teams, Slack or Google Chat. Reply within one working day, Monday to Friday. I answer short questions in the chat; questions that need analysis go into the next call. Minimum term three months, then cancellable monthly.
  • Projects I already know come back into the call at no extra cost. If you need more new projects in a month than included, each additional one costs 250 euros net.
  • Roadmap per project, 375 euros net, optional after each call: steps and recommendations based on my research, with concrete tasks such as backlink recommendations, off-page and on-page measures. In your design, with your logo and in your language, so you can pass it straight on to your client.

Implementation stays with you. If you need support with it, my operational hourly rate is 130 euros net. For a single question without ongoing support there is the SEO consulting session.

Who your sparring partner is

I am Antonio Blago and have been running SEO projects for industrial and brand clients, e-commerce and publishers for many years. For about a year, visibility in AI answers has been part of it, meaning GEO for ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews. In sparring you get the same way of working as in my own projects: data, observation and recommendation kept apart.

Frequently asked questions about SEO, GEO and marketing sparring

How much does SEO sparring cost?

Sparring costs 1,500 euros net per month: two 60-minute calls, up to five projects per call, onboarding of one new project per month included. Sparring Plus costs 2,950 euros net per month with two 90-minute calls, two roadmaps in your design, a direct chat line and onboarding of two new projects per month. At the start there is a one-off setup of 990 euros net, covering the kickoff and onboarding of up to three starting projects.

How many projects fit into one call?

Up to five projects per call. That leaves enough time per project to assess strategy, implementation and measurement and to agree on the next steps.

What do you need before the call?

At least three working days before the call: the projects you want to discuss, your questions, the goals, past measures and read access to Google Search Console, ideally also to Google Analytics. I use that time to get into the projects, so the call goes straight into the assessment.

Can we discuss a project more than once?

Yes. Projects I have already worked into come back into the call without a new onboarding. You only send me what has changed since the last call.

Who joins the calls?

By default, the sparring is with your project leads. Whether I also act as an external reviewer towards your clients is something we settle in the intro call.

Do we get the result in writing?

After each call you get the video recording with transcript, a summary and the next steps per project. Optionally, for 375 euros net per project, you get a roadmap with steps, recommendations and tasks, for example on backlinks, off-page and on-page measures, based on my research, in your design, with your logo and in your language. Sparring Plus includes two roadmaps per month.

Can we reach you between calls?

In Sparring Plus via Teams, Slack or Google Chat, with a reply within one working day, Monday to Friday. I answer short questions directly; questions that need analysis go into the next call. In the regular sparring, questions go by email.

How much internal effort do we need?

The project documents and access before the call, and your project leads in the call. Implementation stays with you; I review and set the direction.

How do you handle confidential client data?

I work with read-only access and, on request, sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before the first call.

Let's look at your projects together

In the intro call we clarify how many projects are involved, who joins from your side and whether Sparring or Sparring Plus fits better.
